AI & Backend Technical Lead

A system is truly delivered when the team maintaining it understands it. I lead the team to that point.

Strengthen your team

The problem I solve

Many AI projects fail less from a lack of skills than from a lack of leadership: vague work breakdown, an architecture only its author understands, reviews that come too late, a production rollout pushed back week after week. It is even truer with young teams, full of energy but without reference points.

As a technical lead, I hold architecture, pace and people together: everyone knows what they are building, why, and how we check that it is done.

What I bring

Leadership

Break down and set the pace

Task allocation, short iterations, progress tracking, interface between client, business and technical team.

Quality

Review and validate

Code and architecture review, deliverable validation, documented technical decisions, controlled production rollout.

Mentoring

Grow the team

Upskilling in applied AI and backend, development practices, progressive autonomy.

Track record

  • ~10 AI projects led from needs analysis to production.
  • Teams of up to 15 people, mostly interns and juniors.
  • 120+ participants mentored in AI and full-stack bootcamps, 48-hour project cycles.
  • Communities — president of a 300+ member university computer science club; 7 hackathons co-organised; jury for 40+ teams.

A developer when needed

I come from code: database administration, management software, then AI and full-stack development. I can still write the critical parts myself.

  • Python
  • PyTorch
  • LangGraph
  • FastAPI
  • Django
  • Node.js
  • React
  • Next.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Docker

Frequently asked questions

What does an AI technical lead do?

Connect the need, the architecture and the team: break down the work, choose technical approaches, track progress, review and validate deliverables, unblock hard problems and drive the production rollout.

Can you lead a junior team?

Yes, it is a large part of my experience: I have coordinated teams of up to 15 people, mostly interns and junior profiles, and mentored more than 120 participants in intensive bootcamps.

Do you also work as a developer?

Yes. I am an AI and full-stack developer by training (Python, PyTorch, FastAPI, Django, Node.js, React, Next.js) and I write code when the project needs it, especially on critical parts.

What does a technical lead engagement look like?

It depends on the need: part-time alongside your team, for the length of a project, or for a specific phase such as moving from design to production. Remote or on site.

A transformation project, an architecture to design?

Companies, startups, institutions: describe your context in a few lines. I answer personally, with a first opinion on feasibility and approach.
